Sewnsational is a small indie design shop founded by Rhonda Winkelman in June 2003. Rhonda is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, where she majored in fashion design. She began her career at a design house for Victoria's Secret, where she traveled extensively to Hong Kong as both a buyer and design consultant. She began her own company, Perfect Pillows, in 1994, where she distinguished herself as the designer of choice for many Boston area interior designers. Her custom crafted pillows and home accessories have been featured in numerous magazines and show houses. Branding exclusive accessory lines, she began to concentrate her efforts on handbags, purses, and travel accessories, and has since focused her energies on specific travel and carry design lines. Rhonda employs three crafters in her small shop and currently lives with her husband in the seaside town of Conimicut, Rhode Island. She can be reached at sewnsational@gmail.com.
